Dr. Fakhari, Executive Manager of ICRIC, during his journey to Rome, Italy on 2010 visited different offices and sectors of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the UN. Then, he discussed with Dr. Javad Tavakolian, one of the responsible persons in this organization about the role of FAO in approving Halal Codex and global standard of Halal food in the world. They discussed about holding a workshop and seminar for presenting necessary information and the conditions of Halalworld industry in the world in this center. Also thet agreed to survey the activities in the field of Codex standard and presenting Halal documents to different parts of FAO. Also it was assigned that the presence of ICRIC as an observary international N. G. O in FAO expert parts will be determined in near future.
